We, the trainees Marcello, Lea, Johannes, Mariam, Mona and Robin, had the task of representing the reception in Ismaning from July 18th until August 14th. In order to cover this time we rotated to Ismaning with the company cars at different times. Our main responsibilities were processing mail, answering calls, arranging hospitality, maintaining stocks of food and office supplies, and other tasks that arise. The opening and distribution of letters and packages required special attention, as it is not always immediately clear to whom they should be distributed. Answering calls also required sensitivity sometimes. It is not always clear what the caller needs immediately. Organizing the catering was another aspect of our work. Whether meetings, customer appointments or internal events – physical well-being always had to be taken care of. Overall, the time at the reception in Ismaning was an experience for all of us. We learned how important a well-functioning reception area is for the entire day-to-day office life and what organization and commitment is required to successfully master these tasks. A big thank you to the entire team for their collaboration and to all colleagues who supported us.
