Summer, sun, beach: My trip to Tenerife

Right after my third semester of theory, I had the opportunity to participate in an international rotation and work at one of our locations abroad for three weeks. My choice was clearly Tenerife. Not only exciting projects, but also great experiences and unforgettable memories accompanied my trip.

Working with Carolina, Pilar, and Esther in Facility Management and P&O was a great addition to my Digital Business Management studies. Interacting with the other colleagues who worked there was also a formative experience, both professionally and personally. Through exchanges with two other students (Adrian and Rodrigo), who were completing an internship as part of their studies, and through working together and spending lunch breaks with Spanish colleagues, I was able to develop both professionally and personally. I was even able to use the Spanish I had already learned at school and learn new things.

The three weeks in Tenerife were filled with intensive work on projects, but also pure relaxation after work. I was able to apply the skills I learned in the third theory phase during my time in Tenerife and further deepen them in practice. Visiting the fair at the university and being close to other students was also a great experience. I spent my free time after work exploring the island. I spent most of my time in Santa Cruz and La Laguna. But I was also able to visit other places further away on the weekends. The view from the Airbnb was fantastic and, when the weather was good, you could see the neighboring island of Gran Canaria.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Carolina, Pilar, and Esther once again for the unforgettable time and the warm welcome. I would also like to thank Hubert and Edina, who were able to help me in some situations in German. In addition, I would like to thank Alejandro, Adrian, and Rodrigo for the exchange and the travel tips, which I then put into practice.
