During the period from mid-November to mid-December, we—Hagji Beciri, Jan Jennen, and Nicolas Fastus—had the opportunity to visit our company’s site in Bangkok. Throughout this international rotation, we were involved in both software development and market analysis. We actively contributed to ongoing projects, applied our existing knowledge, and gained valuable new professional insights. In particular, learning about different ways of working and incorporating international perspectives into our tasks proved to be highly beneficial.
The collaboration with our colleagues on site was especially positive. The exchange was open, constructive, and characterized by mutual support. From the very beginning, we were warmly welcomed and received guidance with both professional and organizational matters. This made it easy for us to quickly adapt to the workflows and take on responsibility independently.
Outside of work, we also had the opportunity to explore Bangkok and experience its diversity. In our free time, we visited the Ancient City, various night markets, and several shopping malls, including ICONSIAM and a mall specializing in vintage clothing. We gained further impressions during a visit to a well-known rooftop bar, a shared karaoke evening, and while exploring Chinatown. In addition, we tried a wide range of local food, attended a Muay Thai fight, and took a trip to Pattaya, where we spent time at the beach.
Looking back, our time in Bangkok was extremely enriching both professionally and personally. The combination of engaging tasks, close collaboration with colleagues on site, and the wide variety of cultural experiences broadened our horizons. We are very grateful for this opportunity and return with many new perspectives, valuable experiences, and lasting memories.
