Du­ring the pe­ri­od from mid-No­vem­ber to mid-De­cem­ber, we—Hagji Be­ci­ri, Jan Jen­nen, and Ni­co­las Fastus—had the op­por­tu­ni­ty to vi­sit our company’s site in Bang­kok. Th­roug­hout this in­ter­na­tio­nal ro­ta­ti­on, we were in­vol­ved in both soft­ware de­ve­lo­p­ment and mar­ket ana­ly­sis. We ac­tively con­tri­bu­ted to on­go­ing pro­jects, ap­pli­ed our exis­ting know­ledge, and gai­ned va­luable new pro­fes­sio­nal in­sights. In par­ti­cu­lar, lear­ning about dif­fe­rent ways of working and in­cor­po­ra­ting in­ter­na­tio­nal per­spec­ti­ves into our tasks pro­ved to be high­ly beneficial. 

The col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with our col­le­agues on site was espe­ci­al­ly po­si­ti­ve. The ex­ch­an­ge was open, con­s­truc­ti­ve, and cha­rac­te­ri­zed by mu­tu­al sup­port. From the very be­gin­ning, we were warm­ly wel­co­med and re­cei­ved gui­dance with both pro­fes­sio­nal and or­ga­niza­tio­nal mat­ters. This made it easy for us to quick­ly ad­apt to the work­flows and take on re­spon­si­bi­li­ty independently. 

Out­side of work, we also had the op­por­tu­ni­ty to ex­plo­re Bang­kok and ex­pe­ri­ence its di­ver­si­ty. In our free time, we vi­si­ted the An­ci­ent City, va­rious night mar­kets, and se­ve­ral shop­ping malls, in­clu­ding ICONSIAM and a mall spe­cia­li­zing in vin­ta­ge clot­hing. We gai­ned fur­ther im­pres­si­ons du­ring a vi­sit to a well-known ro­of­top bar, a shared ka­rao­ke evening, and while ex­plo­ring Chi­na­town. In ad­di­ti­on, we tried a wide ran­ge of lo­cal food, at­ten­ded a Muay Thai fight, and took a trip to Pat­ta­ya, whe­re we spent time at the beach. 

Loo­king back, our time in Bang­kok was ex­tre­me­ly en­ri­ching both pro­fes­sio­nal­ly and per­so­nal­ly. The com­bi­na­ti­on of en­ga­ging tasks, clo­se col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with col­le­agues on site, and the wide va­rie­ty of cul­tu­ral ex­pe­ri­en­ces broa­den­ed our ho­ri­zons. We are very gra­teful for this op­por­tu­ni­ty and re­turn with many new per­spec­ti­ves, va­luable ex­pe­ri­en­ces, and las­ting memories.
