Jana and I are al­lo­wed to be­gin our fifth prac­ti­cal pha­se with a four-week stay at our Is­ma­ning lo­ca­ti­on. The­re we will have the op­por­tu­ni­ty to get to know the BU Or­der Ma­na­ger, the em­ployees and the Or­der Ma­na­ger so­lu­ti­on in more de­tail. Or­der Ma­na­ger is a so­lu­ti­on that ma­na­ges the sup­pli­er and cus­to­mer re­la­ti­onships of the users and hand­les all pro­ces­ses, from the in­quiry and or­der to in­voi­cing and re­turns. We re­cei­ved a very warm wel­co­me and were ac­cept­ed into the team. Du­ring a short tour of the site we were also able to meet Pa­trick and Uwe, for­mer trai­nees of TecAlliance. Af­ter they made us a litt­le bit afraid of the apart­ment, we were very re­assu­red in the evening when we saw our small apart­ments, which are com­ple­te­ly suf­fi­ci­ent for our four-week stay.

Du­ring the first week I was al­lo­wed to meet two col­le­agues from the field ser­vice who ex­plai­ned our so­lu­ti­on, the or­der ma­na­ger and the in­di­vi­du­al mo­du­les in more de­tail. With the help of the CRM I was able to crea­te a cus­to­mer over­view and in the fol­lo­wing week I was able to ac­com­pa­ny a col­le­ague from the field sa­les force to a new cus­to­mer. I was very sur­pri­sed how fri­end­ly, re­la­xed and abo­ve all ho­nest the cus­to­mer was towards us. Back in Is­ma­ning I was al­lo­wed to crea­te a do­cu­men­ta­ti­on about the So­lu­ti­on Por­tal for a col­le­ague. This is a por­tal for the ad­mi­nis­tra­ti­on of users and busi­ness re­la­ti­ons for the in­di­vi­du­al Or­der Ma­na­ger modules.

On the first weekend we dro­ve to the city cen­ter of Mu­nich to do some sight­see­ing and shop­ping. First we dro­ve to Ma­ri­en­platz and clim­bed up the 14 flo­ors of the church tower from old Pe­ter. The way was worth it, be­cau­se from up the­re you had a won­derful view of the city. Then we wal­ked to the Eng­lish Gar­den, which is worth a walk de­spi­te the win­ter and the cold. The next day we dro­ve to the Te­gern­see. The­re the wea­ther was so nice that we could even en­joy the sun out­side in a beer gar­den in Ja­nu­ary. Lucki­ly the­re were pu­blic bus­ses on Sun­day, too, be­cau­se a round trip around the who­le lake was fur­ther than we had thought 😊.
