My first year at TecAlliance

I started working at TecAlliance GmbH just over a year ago. The onboarding enabled me to get to know not only the company but also my colleagues. In the process, I gained a wide variety of insights into departments of the company. Of course, I can only talk about having touched the surface a little.

My first department was IM (Information Management) and between the first two semesters I was in the Data Solutions Team. I could experience what working in an agile way means. I have understood, that the result is not only “handed in” when it is finished, but there is a lot of communication before the results come. This meant that I could quickly find my feet in this field and I always found an open ear for questions.

The first semester started well, despite Corona and online lectures. I met a lot of new people. Even though friendships were built up slowly, because we didn’t see each other in person, learning groups formed quickly, especially for technical mechanics.

Basically, both semesters went like this: online lectures, study groups for some lectures, every now and then you met up with colleagues from the company, because hardly anyone from the university had already moved to Bad Mergentheim.

During the second practical phase, as I had to write my first project thesis, I could become familiar with the challenges of a Bachelor’s thesis. And at the same time, I got to know BU Order Manager.

The practical phases at TecAlliance have not only expanded my knowledge in the individual areas, but also helped me to develop personally and to grow beyond myself. Even though the study and parts of the practical phases were online, I have learned a lot and improved my skills in some areas.
