Instructor eligibility met by eight students!

Every year, the DHBW offers dual students the opportunity to complete the training of trainers (the so-called AdA or trainers’ certificate). A total of eight students from our Trainee Team took the opportunity and attended a one-week training course on the topic of training apprentices in companies.
The course covered the following topics:

• Check training requirements/Plan the apprenticeship

• Prepare training/Recruiting

• Carry out training

• Complete training

This may sound a little bit dry at first but the subject was supported by the respective course leaders with many practical examples and group projects brought the students closer in a vivid way.
Through the additional qualification, the students now not only master the technical competences of their profession but also acquired didactic, pedagogical and rhetorical skills that will support them in their further careers.
In order to obtain the training certificate, a written as well as an oral examination must be taken, which can either be taken at the Cooperative State University in Mosbach (or in a Corona-related online format) or directly at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) at their respective locations (for example in Heilbronn).
The oral examination can be held in the form of a presentation of an instruction concept. The instruction concept represents a plan for the implementation of a training unit with a trainee of a specific training occupation.
Our students chose the following topics:

• Specifying, developing and testing an application
IT specialist for application development

• Converting customer requirements into work packages
Management Assistant for Digitalization Management

• Designing a website with CSS (Cascading Style Sheet)
IT specialist for application development

• Recognizing and dealing with phishing mails
IT specialist for application development

All participants successfully passed the exam and now meet the theoretical requirements for supervising future trainees and students at TecAlliance. As all graduates are very familiar with the training at TecAlliance, they can make it easier for new colleagues to start their careers. In order to be allowed to practice as “real” trainers, all they need is the necessary professional experience, which they will gain in the next few years.
