We have finally made it, after 3 years we have successfully completed our training.
After we finished our written exam at the beginning of May, we only had to do our project documentation and our oral final exam. For our project documentation, each of us trainees worked independently on a project. For example, I was allowed to create a prototype for a user configuration for one of our internal applications, which will enable users to adjust the application according to their needs in the future. While we were working on the project, we had to write documentation on the side, which we had to send to the IHK by 10 June.
After that, we prepared for the oral part of the exam. This consisted of a presentation (about our project) and the technical discussion.
The exam took place at the IHK training centre in Heilbronn. I was able to enter the room at 12:45 p.m. to prepare everything for my presentation. A short time later, I already started to present my presentation. Although I was nervous and excited, I was still able to present my project very well – all the practising in the company was worth it. The 15 minutes were over very quickly and immediately afterwards I started with the technical interview. I was asked everything I had learned during my three years of training. From programming to project management and data protection. These 15 minutes were also over very quickly and I was asked to step outside while the examiners coordinated. After 5 minutes – which felt like an eternity – I was also invited back in and got my papers for passing the exam and was very relieved.
Feeling great, I was then able to go home and relax for the rest of the day.
In my 3 years at TecAlliance, I was able to meet many great colleagues and also learn a lot, not only about programming, but also how to rise above myself. I’m already looking forward to my time in IM-Tools and my tasks there before I start my dual study programme in online media at TecAlliance in October.
