Every year, the DHBW Mos­bach of­fers stu­dents the Training of the trai­ners (AdA, “Aus­bil­dung der Aus­bil­der” in Ger­man), which is award­ed by the IHK (As­so­cia­ti­on of Ger­man Cham­bers of In­dus­try and Com­mer­ce). Last week, from 18.01 to 22.01, Isa­bell and I par­ti­ci­pa­ted in the training. It was a good op­por­tu­ni­ty to ac­qui­re ad­di­tio­nal qua­li­fi­ca­ti­ons for our pro­fes­sio­nal life.  Training of the trai­ners was con­duc­ted on­line as a four-day block event and fo­cu­sed on the fol­lo­wing to­pics: “Che­cking training re­qui­re­ments and plan­ning training”, “Pre­pa­ring training and hel­ping to re­cruit trai­nees”, “Con­duc­ting training”, “Com­ple­ting training”.

Du­ring the AdA-ap­point­ments, we ac­qui­red new know­ledge and skills and ap­pli­ed them in prac­ti­ce by de­ve­lo­ping an in­s­truc­tion con­cept. Ta­king on the role of a com­pa­ny trai­ner, we had to pay at­ten­ti­on to the cha­rac­te­ristics of the trai­nees for whom the in­s­truc­tion con­cept was to be pre­pared. The Vo­ca­tio­nal Training  and Youth Em­ploy­ment Pro­tec­tion Act, va­rious in­s­truc­tion me­thods, pe­dago­gi­cal prin­ci­ples and lear­ning ob­jec­ti­ves were used.

Fi­nal­ly, we pre­sen­ted our in­s­truc­tion con­cepts du­ring the prac­ti­cal ex­ami­na­ti­on. Du­ring the tech­ni­cal dis­cus­sion we ap­pli­ed and thus pro­ved the ac­tion com­pe­ten­ces ac­qui­red du­ring the training.

For the suc­cessful com­ple­ti­on of the Training of the trai­ners, the writ­ten ex­ami­na­ti­on is still to be pas­sed. This has pro­ba­b­ly been post­po­ned un­til Fe­bru­ary due to the Co­ro­na pandemic.
