This year, like every other year, the Night of Apprenticeship took place on October 1st. But with one tiny difference: because of Corona the whole event had to be held online via zoom.
For the TecAlliance, a main room was available, with several so-called “Breakout Rooms”, i.e. sub rooms. In the main room, Kerstin first welcomed the guests and then a company presentation was given. There were also interviews with an instructor and a former apprentice, under the name “cocktails with…”. This way, questions such as the course of the training, which qualities one should bring along as an apprentice, etc. could be clarified. The main room was therefore more for people who do not yet know what they want to do, and were simply there to get a taste of the apprenticeship/ studies, or for information about the TecAlliance.
More detailed information was then available in the adjoining rooms, the “Breakout Rooms”, where trainees and students explained their training or studies in more detail to everyone who was interested and provided detailed information. So if you already knew that you wanted to do an apprenticeship in IT, but were still unsure whether, for example, system integration or applications development, you were well advised in the apprentice breakout room.
At the end of the Night of Apprenticeship, a slide show was shown of various events, such as the trainee excursion or after-work activities, and the various trainee teams were introduced. The last item was the farewell, which was taken over by Kerstin.
Unfortunately, this year’s Night of Apprenticeship was only sparsely attended. Nevertheless, we hope that we were able to give all visitors a good insight into the TecAlliance and help them a little bit with their decisions.
