On January 20th, we—Melissa Schmidt and Luca Schulz, both trainees at TecAlliance—had the opportunity to visit the Studienkolleg (Preparatory College) at the DHBW Bad Mergentheim to introduce TecAlliance GmbH.
The Studienkolleg is designed to prepare international prospective students with foreign qualifications for a dual study program. It not only teaches the linguistic and technical foundations required for technical degree programs but also supports participants with application training and intensive preparation for the transition to partner companies. In doing so, the college creates a crucial foundation for a successful start into a future dual study program.
In a one-hour presentation, we introduced our company, our areas of responsibility, our daily lives as trainees, and the diverse development and career opportunities available.

We were particularly pleased by the openness of the students. Their many questions demonstrated genuine interest and gave us valuable insights into the thoughts, concerns, and even fears they face regarding studying and working in Germany. These perspectives also help us as a company to keep learning and to target our support even more effectively.
To conclude the presentation, we showed a project created by our first-year apprentices: a video from their onboarding month. This allowed us to clearly illustrate to the participants what starting at TecAlliance actually looks like.
It was especially important for us to convey how happy we would be if the students took advantage of this opportunity to continue their path in Germany.
As a small highlight at the end, everyone received a TecAlliance goodie bag filled with key information about our company and the trainee team.
We would like to thank the Studienkolleg Bad Mergentheim for having us and allowing us to present ourselves. We are already excited about the upcoming applications and look forward to many more conversations—and perhaps to welcoming new trainees to TecAlliance soon.
