New Year’s Eve in times of the coronavirus

2020 has turned our lives upside down. Many are all the happier to put this year behind them and start with renewed hope for an end to Corona in 2021.

For many people, New Year’s Eve celebrations were different than usual. Due to the ongoing lockdown and the curfew, larger parties were forbidden and people celebrated in the inner circle of their own family. So the evening could be spent with walks, long conversations and board games, before it was time at 12 o’clock and the turn of the year was celebrated with a small fireworks from the leftovers of previous years.

So, looking back, it was the quietest New Year’s Eve I’ve had so far, but by no means worse than the previous ones, because it brought my family and me to deep conversations for quite some time and everyone could clearly feel the support that the own family gives.
