My experience with Order Manager so far

Hello dear readers,

my name is Stefan, you may have spotted me on the About Us page earlier.

When I was a student, I was also active in the social media team. This was a familiar field for me, as I previously studied communication science at the University of Hohenheim. Then in October 2018, after the one-month internship, I started my studies in business informatics at the DHBW in Mosbach.

Since October 2021, I have been working as a (Junior) Agile Master in the Order Manager business unit. Before that, I spent a practical phase in Grafenrheinfeld with the SAP team, where I gained my first experience in the business unit.

Here, I support four of the 12 teams in order to carry out development with them according to Scrum. In doing so, I eliminate problems that occur with the employees, such as missing licenses or incorrect configurations, but I am also a person of trust and a contact person. I also make sure that teams are introduced to Scrum in the first place.

There are other Agile Masters in our business unit – we regularly exchange information about current topics and developments in order to further develop the business unit itself or to learn from each other.

In addition, we are also in contact with the leads of the business unit in order to give neutral feedback, make suggestions or simply exchange ideas.

In addition, we also participate in weekly meetings with the product owners to determine the current status of the development and projects and to discuss the next steps. At the end of a quarter, we take a final look at the goals and set the targets for the next quarter. I also help the product owners in my teams to formulate these so-called OKRs.

In summary, my job contains a lot of communication and coordination. I don’t have to develop software myself, but my knowledge helps me to put myself in the shoes of software developers.
