Hello there,
My name is Kevin Zilke I am 21 years old and completed my training as an IT specialist in the field of application development in September 2018. I completed my training in the internal development team and since them I am part of this team.
As the name suggests, this team is engaged in the development of internal programs (data capture programs). During my training I got to meet many different teams and colleagues through the rotation, including the internal development team. This made the transition from “apprentice” to “permanent employee” relatively easy for me, as I already knew all my team colleagues and the topics that were dealt with in this team were not new to me.
After completing my training, I started working on a new technology together with a colleague from the home office. We created a so-called “Proof of Concept” project to find out which new functions there are and how can we integrate them in our use case. This familiarization serves as a basic building block and template for future work in this area. However, not only future projects but also previous projects in this area are to be transferred to the new technology. In addition, I informed myself a little about further training and have come across the so-called “Operative Professionals”. Here you have the choice between 4 areas in which you can further educate yourself. I intend to do this as soon as I have at least one year of practical experience behind me.
