Experience report Patrick

Junior IT Infrastructurer Engineer

I completed my training with the successful passing of my oral final exam in February 2019. After 2 ½ years of training I am now a member of the internal IT in Munich.

I decided to join the IT Infrastructure Team in Munich, for which I moved to the beautiful city of Munich. The Infrastructure Team now consists of three employees and is responsible for the support of the Munich location and the O365 environment. I also started in the SharePoint team, which I knew from my work as a KeyUser for Vocational Training. This team consists of four employees who are located in Cologne and Munich. As an employee of IT Infrastructure, I am responsible for solving user problems, supporting servers and ensuring the functioning of the company network.

I soon got further tasks, such as the development in the Microsoft Power Platform, including Microsoft Flow and Microsoft PowerApps, which I have already used in my final project. At the same time, I had the opportunity to take part in a further training course at the European Collaboration Summit in Wiesbaden. I attended the conference with a colleague for three days. I was also able to provide IT support at the Automechanika trade fair in Birmingham. One benefit of this is the opportunity to get to know the sales representatives and to visit the other booths at Automechanika.
