My rotation abroad to Shanghai

From mid-October to mid-November, I had the opportunity to visit our location in Shanghai and work in marketing there. During this time, I took on various tasks. These included editing and creating videos and preparing information material for Automechanika, which took place at the end of November. This allowed me to apply my existing knowledge and learn a lot of new things at the same time.

What I particularly enjoyed was working with my colleagues on site. I was welcomed warmly from the start and received support with my tasks and other questions, which made it very easy for me to settle in. This allowed me to quickly find my feet and take on new tasks without any problems.

Outside of work, I had the opportunity to get to know the city better. Shanghai fascinated me with its size, its modern character, and the stark contrast between new architecture and traditional sites. In addition, much of the city is already very digitally designed, which is noticeable in many areas of everyday life. The skyline was one of the highlights for me. At night, the view of the illuminated buildings is particularly impressive and stays with you for a long time. In my free time, I also went to Disneyland, visited temples, went to Yuyuan Garden, and visited the TV tower, where you can walk “above the city” on its glass floor platform. It was definitely an experience I will remember for a long time.

Looking back, my time in Shanghai was enriching for me both professionally and personally. I was able to learn new work processes, gain valuable experience, and was introduced to a culture that was previously unknown to me. I am very happy that I was given this opportunity and am taking home many impressions, new perspectives, and wonderful memories.
