Experience report Jan-Luka
Business Consultant

In October 2017, I started a dual study program in business informatics with a specialization in sales & consulting at TecAlliance in order to deepen my knowledge in the mixture of business administration and informatics, which is extremely interesting to me.
I spent the theory phases at the DHBW Lörrach. In addition to lectures by university professors and lecturers from the private sector on the topics of business administration, databases, business processes, project management, etc., I was able to explore the previously unknown area around the border triangle during my free time.
During the practical phases at the company, I got to know the Research & Innovation departments, among others, and was allowed to work here on a prototype for a chatbot for 1st level support, for example.
During my second internship semester, I visited our company site in Cologne and worked on a way to create an automatically generated sales forecast.
In the penultimate and last practical semester, I got to know the SAP team within the Order Manager business unit. I found it particularly interesting how large manufacturers and spare parts dealers are integrated into the Order Manager ordering platform and how exactly I can support customers in this way in my role as a consultant.
For this reason, I decided to work permanently in the SAP team of TecAlliance after my studies.
I particularly like the open working atmosphere and the high level of personal responsibility at TecAlliance, both during my studies and afterwards. For my first project work, I was allowed to take part in a workshop on the Microsoft Bot Framework, and in later semesters I took part in further training in the SAP area in order to increase my knowledge in these areas. All of the training measures were supported by TecAlliance.
