In 2021, three of us, Linus, Julian and I, started our training as IT specialists, each with different specialisations, and two more trainees, Hagji and Robert, joined us during the first year of training.
This week, the last of us had his final oral examination, which consisted of a 15-minute presentation of the project we had worked on. This was followed by an equally long technical discussion in which we were asked questions about all the topics we had covered during our training. In the weeks leading up to the exam, we were prepared for the exam by trainers, current and former trainees and dual students, who gave us constructive feedback on our presentations and asked us questions about our projects. Thanks to their helpfulness and extensive preparation, we were all able to successfully pass our exam.
Having passed the exam, four of us are now IT specialists for application development, system integration and data and process analysis, and one of us has been awarded a qualification in digitalisation management. For Linus, Robert and Julian, the school-based preparation for professional life has now come to an end. Hagji and I will start a dual study programme at the DHBW in October to gain further qualifications before we fully enter the world of work.
