From mid-February to mid-March, Luca and I had the opportunity to work at our company’s site in Bangkok. A central focus of our time there was conducting an extensive market research project for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This assignment was particularly insightful, as it brought us into direct contact with numerous stakeholders from across various Asian countries. Exchanging ideas across borders provided us with valuable perspectives on regional market structures and the diverse working styles within the APAC region.
The local team contributed significantly to this positive experience. We were welcomed with exceptional hospitality, which made the collaboration both productive and enjoyable. The openness and support of our new colleagues allowed us to integrate quickly into the workflows and contribute meaningfully to the project.
Beyond our professional commitments, we took the opportunity to explore the many facets of Bangkok. Whether navigating the vibrant streets of Chinatown, visiting the impressive ICONSIAM, or experiencing the energy of a Muay Thai fight, the city offered endless ways to immerse ourselves in the local culture. A weekend trip to Ko Samed also provided a welcome contrast to the dynamic pace of the metropolis.
To conclude our stay, we spent a final week on holiday in Ko Samui following the project phase. A particular highlight was the excursion to the Ang Thong National Marine Park. The pristine nature and the striking archipelago there formed the perfect conclusion to a journey that was as professionally rewarding as it was personally enriching.
We return with in-depth market insights, new international connections, and lasting impressions of a truly remarkable time.
