From mid-Fe­bru­ary to mid-March, Luca and I had the op­por­tu­ni­ty to work at our company’s site in Bang­kok. A cen­tral fo­cus of our time the­re was con­duc­ting an ex­ten­si­ve mar­ket re­se­arch pro­ject for the Asia-Pa­ci­fic (APAC) re­gi­on. This as­sign­ment was par­ti­cu­lar­ly in­sightful, as it brought us into di­rect cont­act with num­e­rous stake­hol­ders from across va­rious Asi­an count­ries. Ex­chan­ging ide­as across bor­ders pro­vi­ded us with va­luable per­spec­ti­ves on re­gio­nal mar­ket struc­tures and the di­ver­se working styl­es wi­thin the APAC region. 

The lo­cal team con­tri­bu­ted si­gni­fi­cant­ly to this po­si­ti­ve ex­pe­ri­ence. We were wel­co­med with ex­cep­tio­nal hos­pi­ta­li­ty, which made the col­la­bo­ra­ti­on both pro­duc­ti­ve and en­joya­ble. The open­ness and sup­port of our new col­le­agues al­lo­wed us to in­te­gra­te quick­ly into the work­flows and con­tri­bu­te meaningful­ly to the project. 

Bey­ond our pro­fes­sio­nal com­mit­ments, we took the op­por­tu­ni­ty to ex­plo­re the many facets of Bang­kok. Whe­ther na­vi­ga­ting the vi­brant streets of Chi­na­town, vi­si­ting the im­pres­si­ve ICONSIAM, or ex­pe­ri­en­cing the en­er­gy of a Muay Thai fight, the city of­fe­red end­less ways to im­mer­se our­sel­ves in the lo­cal cul­tu­re. A weekend trip to Ko Sa­med also pro­vi­ded a wel­co­me con­trast to the dy­na­mic pace of the metropolis. 

To con­clude our stay, we spent a fi­nal week on ho­li­day in Ko Sa­mui fol­lo­wing the pro­ject pha­se. A par­ti­cu­lar high­light was the ex­cur­si­on to the Ang Thong Na­tio­nal Ma­ri­ne Park. The pris­ti­ne na­tu­re and the striking ar­chi­pe­la­go the­re for­med the per­fect con­clu­si­on to a jour­ney that was as pro­fes­sio­nal­ly re­war­ding as it was per­so­nal­ly enriching. 

We re­turn with in-depth mar­ket in­sights, new in­ter­na­tio­nal con­nec­tions, and las­ting im­pres­si­ons of a tru­ly re­mar­kab­le time.
