Women in STEM – Business Informatics

Welcome to the first post of our “Women in STEM” series with the study path Business Informatics!

Amelie, Carmen, Isabell and myself have decided to study Business Informatics, a field of education which is still very much dominated by men. One thing we are sure about: The study program is so diverse that everyone can find a suitable profession, no matter which gender one feels belong to!

Business informatics is versatile and therefore offers good prospects for the future. Analytical skills and IT-knowledge that you acquire during your studies are in high demand.

Isabell: “Business informatics is much more than just development. Creativity and communication are also required in this field.”

Hanna: “In technical professions, women can earn more. This would be a step toward avoiding salary gaps as well as social inequalities between all genders.
