Training certificate – From student to trainer

Recently, I participated in a course for the training certificate of the IHK at the DHBW Mosbach in Bad Mergentheim. It took place for a week from 8 am to 15:30 pm daily. I was released from work for 3 days and TecAlliance took over the cost for the course.

The course is divided into 4 spheres of activity. We for example covered different teaching methods, how to motivate trainees and legal obligations regarding training. In the last two days, we could prepare and practice our practical exam. In the practical exam one can either do a 15 minutes presentation or a 15 minutes practical instruction with a trainee.

I passed my exams in the week after the course. So I had to study all topics at the weekend. On Monday, I passed the 3 hours written exam which consists of 70 multiple choice questions at the computer in Heilbronn.

On Thursday, I passed the practical exam doing a presentation in Heilbronn. For the PowerPoint presentation, I had to bring my own laptop and beamer because the IHK doesn’t provide it. After the presentation, I had to answer various questions from the 3 examinants for about 15 minutes. You could answer the questions very well, if you are prepared.

At the end, they communicated to me that I have passed both exams and that the grades will follow in about 2–3 weeks.

I am curious about it and I am looking forward to work together with some trainees in the future!
