Now it’s almost time – we apprentices, IT specialists for application development in the first year of training, leave the learning office after eight months. Now we are going to the big wide world: to the other TecAlliance locations.
The time in the learning office was like a roller coaster ride. There were ups and downs that we experienced together – beautiful and difficult moments. In the beginning we were the shy, reserved “newcomers”. We have hardly left the safety of the learning office to ask someone from the company for help. Far too much asked, far too little made simple. Simon was able to quickly get rid of these quirks, however, so that we became more independent and were able to approach the people in the company.
When I think back to the beginning, I have in mind the picture of us still being rather clumsy with each other. All of us (including Simon) were fresh in the company, knew almost nothing about each other and then we should also work as ONE TEAM? Our beginnings were bumpy, our communication was not the best and I’m not even starting from our teamwork. It took us some time to warm up. Meanwhile we work together very well as a team. The processes during a project have become more understandable to us and we have grown together well.
At this point a big thank you to Simon, who – no matter which phase we have just gone through – always endured and supported us.
Agile working has accompanied us from the very beginning. In stages we have learned the beginnings of programming. At first we were given almost everything, but in the course of time it became less and less, so that at some point we did everything ourselves. We were able to better understand the different roles of a Scrum team and understand their importance.
Now we all leave the learning office with mixed feelings. It’s a pity that we have to leave the learning office now, but we are already looking forward to the new departments in which we will certainly learn a lot of new things.
