Intermediate exam

On Wednesday it was then also for me so far. I have written my intermediate exam. You must know that I did my intermediate exam only in the third year of apprenticeship. This can easily be explained by my change of training after 1.5 years. When I started at TecAlliance, I actually wanted to do my apprenticeship as an IT specialist for application development and I was very much looking forward to it… After 1.5 years of training, however, I realized that this profession, as beautiful as it is, simply didn´t suit me and that I would actually prefer to do something different. After some thinking, I actually decided to continue my training not as a computer scientist, but as an IT management assistant. For me, that meant less programming and more commercial topics. I am very happy with this decision and of course I am also extremely grateful to TecAlliance for supporting me during this time and encouraging me to change. However, since the registration deadlines for the exams are always so tight, I was unfortunately unable to take the intermediate exam together with my colleagues from the third year of apprenticeship. That’s why I had to leave for the Stadthalle in Tauberbischofsheim at 7am on Wednesday. Arrived there, I was even there half an hour too early. Fortunately the Stadthalle was already open, so that I could at least wait in the warm building. Inside there were already a lot of other trainees with different professions. Most of the exams that day were actually written in the retail trade. At this point I also hat the opportunity to exchange ideas with the other trainees and was not quite as excited. Shortly before 8 o’clock we were allowed to go to the examination room and had to sit down. That is actually quite cleverly regulated by the IHK, since each participant receives a seat number and the exam is thus already on the table, whereby no time is lost. After all the formalities had been completed, we were finally allowed to start. I had 120 minutes and I can really say that it is feasible to work through this check loosely. After about 60 minutes I was finished and was allowed to go after the handing over. Now I have to about 6 weeks for my hopefully good results. After the exam I went to the company to work another half day.
