The TecAlliance Hackathon took place for the first time in Weikersheim from 21 to 22 September.
The aim of this year’s Hackathon was to create creative, entertaining or useful (software) products within 24 hours or to find solutions for given problems.
However, this was not a pure IT event, since a hackathon is an interdisciplinary event. Among many suggestions also social and joint projects for the TecAlliance were presented, which have already been set in motion in the meantime.
Colleagues from the information management and development departments have been supporting each other. This provided a good insight into the creative work of others.
Of course, the fun should not be neglected. Therefore the table soccer and a game console were available for the breaks in order to create some entertainment and balance between the work phases. Which was a very successful concept. Until late in the evening, the teams worked and tinkered through to later kick a few laps together or overtake each other in racing games, and then continue to work with a fresh head until late into the night.
The next morning projects like the following were presented:
- “TecAlliance Goes Sport” – A voluntary initiative to make more sportsmanship and exercise possible for TA employees.
- “TecAlliance is committed to social causes” – A concrete social project that is already being carried out by the trainees in November.
- “Blockchain for TA” – How to set up a blockchain? How could TA benefit from this technology in the future?
In addition there were a number of other projects to further improve our products.
Great teamwork, diligence, fun at work and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere made the Hackathon an excellent event, which will be repeated in any case.
Many thanks to all participants and supporters of the TecAlliance Hackathon 2018.
