Nathalie in Taiwan – University Abroad

Hi together,
my name is Nathalie and I’m studying International Business. I would like to tell you about my university visit in Taiwan.

The short-term program is called ‘University abroad’ and it is a cooperation with my uni (DHBW) and the National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) in Koahsiung, Taiwan.

After our arrival in Koahsiung at the 9th of November we were welcomed by students and staff from NSYSU. The following week included lectures at university where they taught us about Taiwan and its culture. We also had the opportunity to visit two Taiwanese companies and we had Chinese language classes. It was fun to learn a few Chinese words even though it is a very difficult language!
The first weekend was spent with a sleepover in an aquarium where we slept next to huge tanks of different kinds of fishes. At the following day we went to the beach in Kenting. Lastly we visited a village of the indigenous people of Taiwan and got an insight into their lives.

The second week was about preparing and presenting a presentation about the differences of Taiwan and Germany in the working environment.

During our free time we visited a small island named Liuqiu. It is such a stunning place!

At the end of our program we spent the last 3 days in Taipei where we visited the famous Taipei 101 which is the highest building in Taiwan.

All in all it was such a great experience! I enjoyed every second especially because of the warm weather. I am really glad that I had the opportunity to go to this trip and TecAlliance supported me with that!😊
