Just like last year, a health day was held at TecAlliance last Wednesday – this year under the theme of nutrition. The day began at 9.00 a. m. and was looked after by the “Techniker Krankenkasse” Health Insurance Fund. There were 3 program points offered
- spinal screening
- Workshop – Healthy nutrition in everyday life and work
- Individual nutritional check by an ecotrophologist
The workshop began with a presentation and quickly led to concrete questions from some colleagues. We were advised on basic recommendations for a balanced diet, but also on correct quantities and the distribution of meals over time. After a short time, more practical work began. We prepared 3 different snacks together. A team worked on the preparation of vegetarian wraps with avocados and various vegetables. A team prepared a muesli with fresh fruit, yoghurt and cornflakes – naturally unsweetened. In the third team, a berry smoothie was mixed. Frozen berries were used, whichcan even be better than fresh fruit, as we have learned. The same applies to vegetables as well, here you can fall back on frozen food without hesitation.
After trying out together, we cleaned up as a team (OneTeam) and prepared everything for the group in the afternoon. Finally, there was a small task in which we had to put together three good and three bad meals for one day. The workshop provided us with a lot of information and in some places it gave us food for thought.
